Default WiFi On/Off widget turns on by itself

Hey folks...new SIII user here. My "WiFi On/Off" widget keeps turning itself on, seemingly at random and I don't have any idea why.

Had a system update from Sprint the other day (On 4.1.1 now I guess) and I added a Voxer account...those are the only recent changes.

Anybody run across this?

First off welcome to the forums

Is there any way you have Juice Defender installed? It automatically turns Wifi On/Off.

If not get back to me!

Glad to be here!

No Juice Defender installed.

I thought maybe it was the GPS Location settings, but I turned that off an hour ago and when I just checked it the darned widget was back on and searching for networks.

I just unstalled it and downloaded a different one. I'll see if that works.

Nope...within five minutes the new widget has turned itself on and was wasting battery looking for networks.

I shut it off and it stayed off for maybe a half hour, then when I plugged my phone into my laptop to charge it turned itself on again immediately. Quite puzzling...and annoying.

This had me puzzled until someone showed me on another section of this forum.
Go to Settings, under the first section '' WiFi. And Networks" press the More Settings button>Mobile Networks>Connection Optimizer > then unchecked the box. That will fix your issue.
