Default Galaxy S3, Verizon & Jellybean

Ok, I am far from being an expert.. I bought my Verizon GS3(locked) several months ago, and love it. All I hear about is talk on the Jellybean OS, but wondering when Verizon is going to update our phones to that OS? The version on my phone is 4.0.4 and it always tells me I have the latest version.. How do I get Jellybean on my phone?

Scott

Verizon has yet to announce when their version is getting JB. They have traditionally been very slow with updates since the launch of LTE. It is one more complicated step in an already difficult process of updating phones. In order to maintain your warranty, I would recommend just holding tight and waiting for the update. For the average user, JB is NOT a huge upgrade.

Completely agree, the biggest thing that was introduced would probably be Project Butter, which just tried to smooth out the Android experience.

Otherwise like EN said VZW is usually months behind in updates, you could always try calling them and seeing what they say, except the Reps at VZW are usually as clueless about when an update will be released as you are

Historically Verizon will update right after the next OS following Jelly Bean is being installed. They are terrible about updating the Android OS. On the good side though every time they update they screw with things in your phone and it may or may not work right afterwards and at best your settings will be all messed up son not updating can be for the best.
