I was looking into if it was possible or not to get a message count indicator on top of the Handcent SMS icon I have on my start page / quick launch icon?

If so, how would this be done. I played with the Go Launcher EX and Launcer EX Notifications, but nothing showed up when a new text message came in......

I think it may be a plugin for handcent but it will only show unread count. I had it on my previous phone but I switched to gosms pro. I could be wrong though maybe someone else knows this for define.
