Default Got brand new S3 mini and just fell in the mud...

I know....not what I was hoping...but the weather in Britain is rainy and I decided to jump a stream.

Anyway - my question is - I have a bit of mud packed into the micro USB slot...and what looks like a very small hole that could be the microphone hole at the bottom...

What is the best way to tackle this problem? Im thinking either let it dry and attempt to use a toothpick to clear the mud out - or attempt a tear down...

Any help or advice?

Definitely let it dry first....you don't want to be stabbing wet mud into more places..

thanks for the reply - yeah the mud isnt too wet - its just a bit caked in there.

I rang Samsung and they gave me the number for a UK repair place but it seems a bit much to pay to have it repaired...

hi ok panic over. for anyone interested - I waited for the mud to dry - then carefully use a pin for sewing - to excavate the mud out of the socket...blowing out the dirt as I went. It seems to be ok when plugging in the cable...fingers crossed...
