Holy moly if this is what specs are going to be next year, I am soooo waiting and skipping the prime, but dual core does not sound correct, because there making quads in a couple months so that does not make sense.

Yep, I'm of the opinion these are fake, it would make more sense for it to include a Quad Core, but who knows, maybe they don't think it will be ready in time.

Vodafone who stole the rights to me from Three are nagging me to upgrade, lol, if only they knew which phone that I will end up taking from them, seriously, the longer I wait to resign the cheaper the phone should become, I've been out of contract for a year, that deserves at least 50% off of an S3, they told me I'm a priority/special customer!

IMO this slide is a fake. It appeared on CNET, who published it as real, while Engadget said it was fake! It looks totally photoshopped so I know who I agree with.
That picture looks like the Galaxy Nexus lol. Anyway, all of you over seas are so lucky to get the Galaxy S series first. The U.S. is always late to the party. I really hope that the Galaxy S III comes here earlier this time around.

I'd really love the see US Samsung phones start taking a page from the EU Samsung phones and go with a home button. Even if the other buttons are built into the UI (ICS) I'd be happy with a physical home button for turning the phone on. That damn power button on the side of the phone is a pain b/c I'm always accidentally hitting the volume buttons when I try to use it.

Yeah, the power button really should be at the top.

I am sure, as of right now, only Samsung knows the answers to those questions.

I'm still gonna be under contract for a little while so, the Galaxy Nexus isn't looking like much of a distraction. By the time the GSIII is out though, I'll be first in line!

What are the rumors about this possibly coming to Verizon?
When would you guess it will be released?
My Girlfriend want's to ditch T-mobile and come to Verizon... But she also want's my Droid X. So I can get the Galaxy Nexus when she signs up and move my DX to her new line, and my NE2 upgrade is in May, so I can give her my GNex and upgrade to a new phone in May.

International version I would guess May, US version 6 months later.
Import?

And thats what pisses me off. 5-6 months later is rediculous. The carriers in the states need to realize how popular this phone is. I can't wait that long.1-2 months I can do lol. But that's wishful thinking.

Well I live in Gibraltar which is in Europe, but when the phone is out, I properly wait until I go to UK on holiday to buy the mobile phone, since its over price in Gibraltar. A Samsung Galaxy Ace cost £374 in the shops.

Wow, I got a European Galaxy S II here in the U.S. for only $549, which is about £350. I think the Galaxy Ace is much cheaper than that.

I may or may not have overheard something along the lines of
"The Note will probably be out before end of Q1 2012. Only person I've seen use one is our CEO. S3 probably mid 2012. S3 is a purely need to know basis and I'm not on that list. Those that are have been sworn to secrecy. Korean mafia may be holding their childred hostage "

Well thanks for the info. My upgrade is on April but I'm holding out till the GS3. I'm hoping by summer time when Sprint LTE rolls out.

the new samsung exynos chips will be arm a15, and not the a5 arm chips that make up the tegra 3. these a15 chips will easily compete with the tegra 3! as apple show year after year, its not a case of adding more cores to something, its optimising it and android is only just getting to fully exploit dual cores let alone quad! i wouldnt get a quadcore device just because its quad core1

I think you are talking about dual core Exynos 5250 based on cortex A15. But according to this rumor, SGSIII seems to be packing quad core Exynos 4412 based on cortex A9. And tegra3 has A9 cores, not A5.

I hope that samsung does what google did and uses a pentaband antenna. I will gladly import this to the US. I have to give it to Samsung, after the fiasco with the first galaxy s i was sure i wouldnt buy another samsung, but the galaxy s2 was a really good device and although im still not a fan of touchwiz or the plastics they use to build the phone, I could see myself happily buying one of these.
you guys are under estimating samsung....they will be using an intel i7 processor clocked at 6.5 GHz per core with 8 GB RAM with a 5.5 TB HDD and more than likely knowing samsung a 3D screen...poor battery...the little crider won't be able to handle this.
Here are some more rumors about the GS3. There may be two versions with one being 3D? I'm not really into the 3D craze. So hopefully there are two versions with different specs.

Genuinely hope not. 3d is struggling to take off in the entertainment world. I couldn't see Samsung trying to use it as a selling feature when it's main rivals aren't bothering as well.
