I'll be getting a pebble blue one. I've never had a white phone, nor do I want one. It just seems like a white bezel would be too distracting. And I'll probably cover the phone with a TPU case anyway...
You have to take into account the fact that no case will cover up all the blue. If the blue doesn't look good or doesn't match the case, it will stick out like cauliflower ear. The white is much easier to match if you want to wrap it up.
My phone will serve daily duty in a car dock on my dash. White makes a HORRIBLE reflection in my window. I put white paper on my DX on the dash. The black DX is almost invisible, but when covered in white, wow, it is very distracting. I ordered blue. That aluminum strip that is not on the blue model, while looking nicer than without, would also give a bad reflection in the window.
If it weren't for the daily window duty, I'd have went white.
The aluminum strip is on the blue model. It blends in with the blue so it is not so noticeable in the pictures of it. You can see in these pictures.
I pre-ordered the white version. IMO it looks nicer and glossier and its not female at all! I've had a black and blue phone before and this color didn't appeal to me. Looked graphite and the white is so glossy and shiny.

I ordered the blue, but your right about the cases. Lots of the cases, white, black, blue all do look very nice with the white S3. However I still feel blue is better than white. But the case aspect might have me exchanging the blue for white within my 14 days if the blue disappoints me when I get it.
I preordered the blue because the finish makes it look less glossy. From the videos, it looks like theres multiple versions of the pebble blue. Some look blue, and others look more of a graphite color. I'm hoping for more of that graphite color, that glossy white plastic on the white GS3 just doesnt appeal to me. Also I feel like the white is more flashy, and I have doubts about getting a phone as big as this one already.
Got the white version, its actually very nice. Since I do not have the blue one to compare I cannot say which is my favourite. Got the white one because it was another 4 week wait for the blue version from T-Mobile UK.
I have the white on preorder, but since I haven't been able to actually see a device, I can't be 100% certain that I like it better. My immediate choice was the white, but having seen actual pictures (not press shots) of the device, it's growing on me. It's really the back of the phone that's questionable for me.
So how did you guys decide? Are those of you who already own the phone happy with your respective colors? Does one look "cheaper"?
The white one looks great, and it actually doesn't look cheap as some may think. Anyway, I put a case on it, so it doesn't really bother me. For what matters may choice, the only one available I wanted to buy it was the white one, moreover I had a lot of phones with dark finishing, so I thought it was time to move onto something brighter.
I asked my wife and as she i had woke her up that pre order morning to ask, angrily she said, "blue" as she barely squinted her eyes up from the pillow to look.
I went with blue because they don't make a blue iPhone, and when people see me with my phone, I want them to think, "what phone is that?" and not "where did he get that big iPhone?" The pebble blue is really nice anyway though, it fits well with the whole "inspired by nature" aesthetic. The shape and color make it actually look like a polished stone.

White one because it's the only available color although the store has the actual pebble blue on display (not a dummy) and it's way better looking than the white. I just had no choice because I was so itching to get an SG3. Not that I regret buying the white - it looks great too.
White because I coupled it with an awesome case which makes it look amazing. (It was really hard to choose though, I'm not gonna lie, I would have been happy with either)
I originally ordered blue from Verizon on 06/15, but just changed to white today. So, I will get my later rather than sooner. But the main reasons are (A) the blue can look different, from dark blue, to lighter blue, to purple. I don't like it when it has the purpleish/dark blue look, I think it does look a bit cheap. because of this. Also (B) I saw an AT&T blue in the wild the other day and the color didn't impress me. Lighting was dark, but again I don't want to have to depend on the lighting for my phone to look the appropriate color.
Maybe I'll change my mind again when I get it and I get a lot of flack from my wife since I DID ask her which color and she said blue (as I'm a dude).... haha we'll see.

Preordered the blue. Just like blue and can't see myself owning a white phone. I'm still not sure what color my phone will be. I've seen pebble blue photos that look near black, gun metal gray, dark blue, light blue, near neon blue. Guess I'll see.

I pre ordered the 32 gig in white because I didn't like how the chrome accents clashed and the button was different color on the blue. I figured I could always exchange it. When it launched on T-Mobile I went to see the blue, it looked tacky and the color reminded me of vomit. I'm happy with the white , can't wait till I get it. Plus its easier to match a case.
White with a black case looks the best over the Pebble Blue IMO. Saw a friends and his looks purple almost. The white to me looks classy while. I wish they would have offered a simple White/Black/Titanium option like the S2.
I went with white, it just looked better IMHO (my first white phone) also because I thought the Blue looked good but they tried to simulate brushed metal. I don't mind that's it's plastic but I feel by them making it look lke something it's not it comes off as a cheap imitation.
I ordered the blue (Verizon). I'm not sure why since everytime I see a picture of the white version I am blown away by how great it looks. I'm nervous about how the blue will actually look in real life, but hoping for the best.
My phones were a black lg chocolate, lg voyager, blackberry storm, and droid x. I need a change in color and white would be perfect since pebble blue is dark.

I originally wanted white, but now that I've seen the blue in person - blue will be my choice once Sprint starts taking orders for the 32gb version again...
A lot of things I choose I think of which I would regret least.
In other words,if it turns out I end up not being as crazy about something as I thought I would, I sat to myself "self, which would be easief\r to live with if I had to, even though I didn't end loving it as much as I thought I would.
To me the choice was easy. I really didn't to be stuck with the white if I didn't love it. But I could live with the the pebble blue
I always thought it was silly to buy something because it's the only color they had rather than wait, especially if you have to live with it for 1 to 2 years.
I still say get you think is conservative. For me it's blue, for others, white. It's to easy to get tired of the flashy.
A Samsung rep was there and he had a white one so I got to compare both the white and blue side by side. The blue as a brushed metal texture to it that gave it more depth and IMO, it looked much more sophisticated and expensive. Looking at both in each hand, blue was a clear winner for me. The white phone looked like an iPhone wannabe IMO.
I don't like white phones, and the Pebble Blue was the closest thing to black they had. Pretty simple choice for me. Already have a black case to put it in.

I also got the chance to compare both just today, and not the dummies, but real functional phones. I tested the international white with the quad core vs the pebble blue T-mobile variant. I know this is not a performance thread, but just to put fears to rest, it is exceedingly difficult to discern a performance difference between the U.S. and International versions of the S III.
That aside, with the wealth of dark colored phones available from every manufacturer including Apple, the white one definitely feels and looks more unique in the hand. I own a Galaxy Nexus now, and the Pebble Blue S III blends in with the Nexus much more readily than the white one. If you want a phone that looks more unique, go with the white one. If you want a phone that looks less unique, and thus stands out less at a distance, definitely get a blue one. This is simply how they look in a sea of other phones. The pebble blue is a dark blue, and thus will blend in with all the black, gunmetal, charcoal, and chrome accented phones already out there. Whether this is a good thing depends on your preference.
In my opinion both phones felt pretty solid and comfortable in the hand. The blue didn't really look more expensive to me, but perhaps it's because I know that the brushed metal texture is entirely faked - painted plastic, in other words. Both phones look very attractive and sleek, however.
Anyone confusing the S III with an iPhone wannabee is definitely confused.
This doesn't look nor feel like an iProduct at all. It's noticeably thinner and much larger from any distance. I don't see how anyone that's ever seen an iPhone up close could possibly confuse the two. Other than sharing a white color (and keep in mind that the vast majority of iPhone 4's and 4s's produced and sold are black) the similarities are scarce. The S III is much more contoured, ergonomic, and flowing. The iPhone has an extensive bezel area, top and bottom, and a round button. The S III as minimal bezel and a vary odd shaped button that's harder to see at a distance. It has different shapes and placements of things above the screen. The back looks entirely different - camera placement, speaker, etc.

and if you're suffering from buyers remorse, a white case can be purchased. a pebble blue cannot.

Haha, same thing happens when I look at the blue. I ordered the white. I always come within a click away from changing my pre-order color...
I'm a wreck over this should-be-simple decision. I pre-ordered white initially. Then changed it to blue. Now I see the purple home button on the blue and am leaning towards white again. Uggh. I just wanna be able to sleep!!
It`s all a matter of personal taste, however as far as i`m concerned the white looks far more premium/expensive than the blue, i don`t like the pale blue strip around the screen (silver on the white) it makes the whole phone look plasticy.
