That's actually not that surprising of a price. I recall the Note going for something absurd like $900 unlocked when it first came out.

I have one on pre-order from Negri. That's the 16 GB version at $695.

The 64GB version is over $900.

I'm considering getting one if it will work with 4G on T-Mobile. Although, I can't really think of a good reason why I need to upgrade from my SG2.

I think a 16GB and a 32GB SD card works for me.

Handtec 499.79 is $806.96 US. $100 higher than Negri. Amazon is $899 for the 16 gig.

If you are in the USA we do not pay VAT

Handtec total with overnight shipping to the USA comes out to $691.

The 32Gig version is reserved for Vodafone for now, they are like the Verizon of Europe trying to get ahead by being exclusive.
That price is pretty high, I have a whole list of GS3 sellers on this post Here

Gathered a list of all the latest info on where you can pre order the GS3 and for how much.

Is handtec reputable? Fast shipping to US? How does the warranty work for US customers? It's 694 for the pre order. I've never imported a phone. Please tell me everything I should expect.

Did that include shipping? What USA carrier will you be using, and how do you get it to work on the USA carries network? I am thinking about getting the international version.

The Blue SG3 at Negri now says: EXPECTED SHIP DATE: 5.25.2112

Not too far away. Assuming of course 2112 means 2012.

And the price has dropped $3.

So will I be able to buy this and use it on tmobile USA? Does it support the 1700 band??

Anyone know? I'll buy now if so!!

On the site it says this:

* Unconfirmed that the SGSIII will have 1700 3/4G. Verbal confirmation from Samsung Latin America Rep 5/3/2012 stated “Yes”

LOL, which sounds like BS just to get us to buy it...

Just got the following email from Negri:

Quote:
To many, being first is a necessity. To us, it is a requirement. While we do not have great news for our customers, we still anticipate to be the first to carry the Galaxy S III, but the date has been set to the 29th. Our supplier originally gave us a firm date of arrival for the 25th, but has failed to follow through with the promise– putting us in a compromising position with our reputation and name. We anticipate having the Blue, 16GB Galaxy S III before the White. At this time we are not trying to assume a delay from Samsung; but the White is expected to arrive June 1st.

This update will cause many customers to want to cancel and try and find a better option to secure the hottest device of the year. While we cannot stop anyone from cancelling their order, we can only promise to provide you with the most up to date information possible to allow you to make an educated decision regarding your pre-order and whether to keep it with Negri Electronics. Although our promise of an early ship date of the 25th has fallen through, we want you to know that your order is safe and secure and will ship promptly on the 29th. If for any reason you wish to cancel prior to this ship date, you can and it will be of no conflict to call or email our NegriCare staff to do so.

To make up for what we are unable to deliver, we have decided that if you choose to keep your order with us, we will offer you a $25 discount on the order. We will charge you $25 less than the price you originally agreed to pay in your pre-order ($667.50). This is the first time any company has offered to do this for a product that has such media buzz and anticipation around the device's arrival. The Galaxy SIII is stated to be the hottest device in Samsung (maybe even the world) history. We value your business, not the profit. So for that reason in itself, we want to make sure you not only receive this product, but also purchase it at an unbelievably low price-- one that no one else can or is even willing to match.

We trust that you will do what you feel is right; whether that be to cancel or keep your order with Negri Electronics. We appreciate the opportunity that was given to us to provide this great device for you and we will not let you down.

Please feel free to email NegriCare with any of your questions or concerns.

Thank You,

Ryan J. Negri

Founder & CEO
Negri Electronics Inc.
Looks like I'll have to wait a week longer. I ordered the white.

On the plus side, I'll get $25 off the final price.

Very professional of Negri. Some companies wouldn't have give any info until you called asking where your order was.

it's 500 for the 16GB. If that rate stays the same for the other models then the 32GB will cost 571 and the 64GB will cost 643. I suspect the UK prices will end up being slightly higher though.

I'm still tempted to get one of the higher models. I've had my 32GB iphone for about 18 months and regularly need to delete things due to me having music, photos, apps etc.

I suspect I'll have this phone for at least a year or two and will be using it as my primary device for music, taking photos and playing games. It just isn't worth getting the vita when it only gets 3 hours battery life. The replacement battery for the samsung S3 10 so by buying two extra batteries you could potentially get 25-30 hours of gaming and video playing from the one device. Pretty amazing really.

You can get a 64GB MicroSD for around 50 so the 32GB+64GB SD might be the best compromise.....though if the additional storage isn't more expensive I might upgrade and just pray I never lose the thing!

Yeah, my prices were in U.S. Dollars. My pre-order for the 16GB white comes in at $667 dollars. (425).

That's pretty good. There's no information about how much the 32gb or 64gb versions will cost or when they will be released. If it's going to be a few months before they are released, I might just have to go with the 16GB+64GB combo. If I put all music and photos etc on the MicroSD card it might not be so bad but I'd prefer at least 32GB for apps etc.
