Default What you think of Zagg?

FedEx coming today and I have a Zagg invisibleSHIELD full body for the S3. Now, my main concern is the fact that this type of screen protector uses moisture and am slightly worried about moisture from the shield getting inside the device. I know you spray the screen protector not the device but still...couldn't they make it using a dry application? What you guys think?

I think that if you're concerned, bring it to a Zagg store and have them install it. In many cases they will do so for free.

In response to your specific concern, I think the fluid is alcohol based and will evaporate pretty fast. I wouldn't be concerned about it getting inside the phone unless you dropped it in a vat of the stuff.

I've used it on several phones and have discovered the wetter I get it the better it goes on. I have never had anything close to a problem with the moisture.....keep a paper towel on hand and dabb up the extra liquid as you squeeze the it towards the edge.

Also, if you are putting it on yourself, wet your fingers before touching it- this helps dramatically reduce finger prints and unnecessary sticking.

I use the provided cloth instead of a paper towel, just to avoid lint, but yeah, I have installed probably a dozen screen protectors, I have it down to an art for keeping moisture out of speaker grills and seams.

I really don't like that wavy look you get in the glare with the Zagg, but it's irrelevant since I never see that when looking directly at the screen.

By chance does anyone know of any other full body wraps like Zagg that are as high quality if not better?

I used to be a big fan of Zagg because it was my first wet application and I really liked it. After some issues with their product, I've moved to sgp for screen protectors.

As I stated on the above thread I love my ZAGG on my DROID Charge, enough to go ahead & order one for my S3. I just love the feel & also the warranty is very nice. ZAGG fan for sure!!!

you are going to get irremovable finger prints all over the screen protector not to mention the stuck air bubbles that will never come out.

Applying without moisture will leave crazy amounts of bubbles. I had a zagg on my incredible, and the application went fine, no need to worry about moisture, but as a screen protector it is garbage and there are much better non-wet application screen protectors out there.

I hate the feel of the zaggs, too rubbery for me as well as overpriced locally. Futureshop asking $25, I bought 3 regular ones from ebay for $2.50

ZAGG isn't for everybody, remember it is more of a permenant ( removable ) screen protector while those you get on ebay for that price only last a short period of time, thats why you get 3 of them. You can get just the screen protector on ZAGG.com for $14.99. The $25.00 one you were looking at was probably the full one ( front & back protector ).

They're all very similar with some subtle differences. I've use Best Skins Ever. You can get 3 for practically the price of one of the big names.

Google reviews on BSE, or Best Skins Ever and you'll find good things said.

I am going to bet you will regret that decision.....but good luck with it.

The moisture causes the film not to be so sticky so you can adjust it and squeeze out bubbles, as well as no finger prints.

I put a Zagg on my S3, but the orange skin effect is so bad that I have taken it off. I am waiting for the SGP.

Zagg is the worst. I'm really stunned every time someone says they like it. I don't get it. I did a zagg screen once and was so rubbery, I couldn't move my finger across the screen.

Luckily, at least at that time, Zagg was fully refundable, no questions asked. So, please do return yours and get your money back.

It is a preferences thing. I personally like the slight tackiness, I feel it makes my typing more accurate, as my finger isn't sliding all over the screen. But with a lighter touch, my finger slides just fine.
