I totally agree. Gives a certain "other" phone a run for its money.
What I have noticed (and is cool) about Google Now, is that if I Google a business or place on my laptop then go to use my JB Nexus 7, I have a card pop up with the map and travel time. This will rock when it's on my phone
I feel like the only one perfectly content with ICS.
I love ICS. Its very stable and a great improvement from past versions. But the Google Now feature and project butter are very good features. I don't think people realize how cool Google Now is going to be.
Like you said, I am perfectly happy with it as well. But I want some features JB has.

Got this working on my S3, stock ROM. Awesome! Cards from searches on my laptop.
Good News, According to Samsung & Adobe Official statement all users who will Upgrade from Android 4.0 ICS to 4.1 JB will keep their Flash player intact and working, that's include Galaxy S3 users too. So you can Update to Jelly Bean without Worrying about losing your Flash player!
I have ice cream and i think i dont have the flash player. I cant play hulu or collegehumor videos. Will these websites eventually switch from flash to something my s3 can play?

I can't remember if the S3 comes with Adobe Flash Player pre-installed or not, but you can download it from the play store if you haven't got it

I went to the play store and i guess my phone doesnt have the flash 11 since it saids free instead of installed. But the flash app saids the app is not compatiable with my u.s. s3.
Will the update be via your carrier or Samsung. I know when I had Nokia, I had to wait for Tmobile even though the updates were already available through Nokia's site. Does anyone know if this is the case?
So when should we expect the JB update?... for the Samsung Galaxy S3
31st of August or 1st of September if you have the International Unlocked version. IF you bought it from a carrier, then you're stuck until your carrier releases it

unless you root .. Jelly bean has been available for some time, the only glimpse of hope i have for non rooted US carrier phones is maybe they will try to have the update ready before the iphone 5 comes out so that Samsung is not outdone by a newer phone but this is just my theory.
I'm holding out as long as possible on rooting my s3 because i kinda like it the way it is but its only a matter of time before i cave and root and start tinkering with my s3.
Can anyone with the stock jelly bean rom installed comment on the battery life? I know there has been reports of issues around cell standby battery drain, wanted to know if you guys have experienced better battery life. Also have you been able to notice the frame rate change to 60fps?
Having JB on my Nexus 7, I cannot wait for it to hit my GS3. It really is the next step in putting the polish on Android. Project butter has done a great deal to improve fluid movements and a great "wow" appeal.
Google Now is impressive from my experience with it, although I don't see myself using it often similar to when I left siri untouched on my iPhone. Just isn't a huge daily tool to me.

Google Play does have the Flash player available now. However, I've heard that it won't be there for long. If we have the Flash player installed now, does that mean that we have the apk file on our phones? If so, where is it? I can't find it. Thanks.
My guess is Verizon will be up to two months later than most other carriers, but looking forward to the update, since getting JB on the TF300.
Better than expected and as already mentioned in a few threads, Flash performance is even better as well. Ironic for a now non-supported feature. Post update, Flash works great with Boat, Dolphin and XScope.
for those who are rooted, since OTA is disabled, im guessing a stock rom will become available so that we can flash via Odin right - probably reserving all our data/settings/apps etc correct? Probably the day that Samsung releases it OTA.

I really hope VZW can get this update out soon after the official release.
did you really expect them not to use TouchWiz?...

Nobody is not content with ICS...its simply why wouldn't you want something better?

i would imagine that there will be tweaks for the baseband built into the update...considering it doesn't seem like VZW is going to bother releasing the update that already came out to the public

especially for US owners the updates will come from your provider...the unlocked international version will get them from Samsung...

Nice OS update.
if VZW is THAT far behind...its likely that many custom ROMs will start to build off other carrier versions then...so its likely rooted users might be able to get a taste of JB earlier...
ALSO...updates often get leaked early...and ALWAYS have to go out to soak testers before the general public...likely rooted users will be on official Carrier specific JB before the general public...
for instance...on the Droid X..we had leaked Gingerbread builds probably 6 months before it hit as an OTA...

yes...but i would strongly suggest a data wipe when moving between ICS and JB...

Questions about rooting/modding your VZW Samsung Galaxy S3? Go Here
All this concern about when Adobe pulls flash. I personally can't wait. Because then we can finally move on to html5. It's the same thing with XP in the corporate world, I can't wait for MS to finally pull the plug so we can move on to bigger and better things.
It's going to happen people, stop resisting, your precious videos will just be forced to move over as well. The sooner we quit resisting, the sooner we can move along.
This is not the UK version, but the International one, so those who have it in the US can use it
Right internatinol version and UK are the same unlocked phone. But will it work with the USA version of the SGS3 SPH-L710? I think the I9300 are two core right?

Nice OS update.
I won't be surprised if Android 5 (Key Lime Pie, it might be called) is out before Verizon releases it.
