Cry Place Folders Within Folders in Gallery

I recently got back from a two week vacation in Alaska, so I have quite a few pictures. I already have the photos separated into different folders based on the day they were taken, but having 14 folders in the Gallery for my vacation isn't very convenient. I would like to stick all of these folders into one main folder simply titled "Alaska." I have not yet found any way to do this. I have Googled around and tried putting my folders into this one folder, but the main folder is simply disregarded and its contained folders are displayed instead.

I am using a Galaxy S3 with Android v 4.0.4

Welcome TLehmann, to the Android Forums!
We are glad you have joined us here.

I would recommend that you download/install an app called Astro File Manager from the Play Store. I am almost certain that you can do this with Astro.

I moved this thread into the Galaxy S3 forum so that those who use this phone can also post their tips in this thread.

I could be totally wrong but the issue isn't the way the folders are structured.

As the op said he already has one main folder, containing sub folders by date, containing his pictures so the file structure is as he needs. (btw can be done with the 'my files' app.)

The issue is with the gallery ignoring the main folder, and listing all the sub-folders within it. In which case the op would most likely need to look for an alternative gallery app that may give the desired result. Unfortunately, I've not had a need to use an alternative, do I can't suggest any.

That is one of the pains with the Gallery bit in that it won't keep sub folders within main folders. It just shows all folders that you've got in one go. Not sure if there is a better app out there to handle sub folders better.
