Default How to turn off weather alert texts

Anyone know how to disable weather alert (flood warning, etc.) texts from the National Weather Service?

Has Verizon started using these alerts? I heard they are carrier based, so the carrier has to turn on the feature.

Yes, Verizon customer here, & it went off the other day when we had some storms roll thru. It scared the Ba-Jesus out of me at first b/c didn't know what it was. Cool feature, but not using personally.

I had the same damn thing happen with mine. It started beeping like it was a bomb about to go off lol.

I found it in, messages>settings>emergency alerts

I turned that thing right the hell off haha
