Default Adobe Flash on galaxy s3

I sideloaded Adobe Flash on my new S3. I installed the apk right off the Adobe archive site. The flashplayer shows up in my App list, when I try to access the mobile settings (using stock browser, Firefox, Dolphin) I get a black screen. The Adobe test page shows no Flash and of course, none of the browsers recognize flash. Anyone have a solution to this problem?

Apparently they dropped support of flash for mobile browsers, focusing on HTML 5. They took flash off the play store and now if you want it, you need to sideload the apk.
I installed flash but can't get i two work.

Well, it's only dropping support for mobile... After further reading it seems Adobe is pushing to Adobe Air, which is still Flash, however it's a plugin for the OS, where Flash is a browser plugin ( oversimplified explanation).

well HTML 5 still lacks some features and seems overall not considered "ready for prime time", although that will likely change on the future.

That's why I'm trying to sideload the app, but it's not working. This is crazy, a high-end phone with a basic, non flash browsing experience.

How to manually install Adobe Flash Player on your Android device | Android Central

It is still being supported for people who currently have flash on their phones, and will continue to shop up in the play store if you already have it installed. It's why most people can still see it. You can manually install it, but it will not receive the updates that the play store version will receive.

I've been trying to do that manually by side-loading and can't get it to work. It's pretty aggravating and I'm considering giving back the phone, got another week to decide.

What's the point of getting a iPhone if you won't have AFP anyway? Seriously, buying a phone for that purpose only is just idiotic, knowing that Adobe Flash is in decline.

i dont understand why you are side-loading, that has been useless for about 2 years, unless you think side-loading means something else. you should just be able to install it

I thought side-loading is loading an app without using Google Play, i.e. right off the internet. My mistake, I meant installing the app manually.

I just realised I didn't have it installed, whilst on tvcatchup.com. pressed the.link "install flash player" and it took me to play, where I installed it

Last week I downloaded Version 11.1.115.12 from Google Play. Of course, I have no idea whether it actually does anything, or not. It is not listed in Google Play (My apps.)

So strange... I was like I have never noticed any flash updates on my phone and after looking at this post I was like hey I better make sure I got flash. I went here to test if I had flash or not.

50 Beautiful Flash Websites

They all play perfectly but if I go to the Play store and select my Apps Flash is not in my list. I know I have it because I can view every site in that list just fine. They must have removed it from My Apps as part of the process of getting rid of it? Anyways I can see flash for now :-) BTW I read that there is a huge amount of fake Flash apk's out there just full of male-ware that when installed subscribe you to several monthly services at like $12 a pop. Watch out!!

Default Tried all the tricks, Flash 11.1 still not working

I purchased my Samsung Galaxy S 3 from Verizon on 8/24/12, which apparently was a couple weeks after it was pulled from the google play store. I have since downloaded flash 11.1 a few times from adobe's site but it doesn't seem to work.

I have tried the default browser (after enabling plug ins), Dolphin HD browser (including the older one that already has flash) and Opera... nothing seems to work. The only thing that is slightly different is when I use the stock browser and check 'desktop' view, I can see flash icons on addictingames.com which I understand uses flash... before I installed it, this site wouldn't work.

The problem I'm having seems to be with embeded flash video. When I go to CBS.com, I am unable to view any video there. Additionally, when I go to the flash settings app that is installed, I get a black page with a blue icon that looks like a lego.

It seems that everyone else is somehow getting around this problem but I have spent several hours trying to make the damn thing start using flash! Feeling pretty bummed that I just spent $650 on a phone that doesn't support this

Any ideas/tricks are GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!!

If everyone refused to view Flash-enabled sites at once, all these sites would be forced to recode immediately and this issue would be behind us.

The main reason I picked Android over Iphone was for Adobe Flash. So I'm never updating to any OS that doesnt have flash. There are so many sites that use flash for videos and what do we want to do on this beautiful S3 screen watch videos.
