Built-in tethering, dropping connection
I'm using AT&T and am using the built-in tethering (legally) to connect my Galaxy Tab (wifi only).
initially, it works well, but after about an hour, the S3 just stop tethering, as if it was turned off on the phone (the notification icon goes away, etc.) when I turn it back on, it thinks it's working, but the Tab cannot reconnect. It sees the S3, but gets stuck trying to get an IP address, won't fully connect. no amount of stopping and restarting the tethering seems to help.
the tethering won't work correctly until I restart the phone.
anyone else having this problem? any suggestions or solutions?
yes, I've tried FoxFi, but it and the built-in tethering don't play well together (both turn on when I turn FoxFi on, or they alternate, one turns on as the other turns off, etc.)
is there a way to disable the built-in tethering so I can use FoxFi?
thanks.
