Hey I know quadrant/benchmark scores aren't looked at to fondly here but for people who are interested in benchmarks (Like me)... if anyone is interested in an attempt at beating mine post a picture of you're best scores and I'll have an attempt at beating them. Let me know if you've got better.
No one can beat those scores..... How did you do it?
Well long story short.... i played some riptide Gp to get the cpu & gpu going I then closed everything from task manager, cleared memory. Installed fast reboot and downloaded quadrant professional edition and put warm up time to 5+ settings and ran the test a number of ten times until I got a decent score I've been trying to achieve a score over 6, 000 All day.....literally. Worth it though! Ahah. I have no overclocking no custom roms, kernels etc. Everything is stock ics 4.0.4.
If you're not rooted, its a very good score. What did you do? You should be getting about 1000 less than that.
Play a graphical intense game then run quadrant seems to get me some pretty high scores. I have seen people maxing 5, 000 (on yYouTube. Everyone was running quadrant on S3 and one x and in most cases the HTC one x won. but I thought that's not the best The S3 can do so I'm trying to score the highest on a stock Rom & kernel.
gotta be careful with these threads because the US variant of the SGS3 is going to score significantly lower than the International version...so be careful what you're comparing to guys

Your IO is ridiculous. Games should ramp cpu and gpu. Can't see how it would affect database writes.
What game are you playing? What version sgs3? Screenshot without gameplay please
Yes I/O results seem to fly while cpu & gpu stay relatively the same. a head of the one X. Maybe because I have a 32gb Micro Sd installed at the moment. Ironically the last benchmark (the highest I've ever got was without any gameplay At all and i thought it helped to play games before benchmarking obviously I was wrong.
I have international GT-I9300 Running ICS ver: 4.0.4. and I play dead trigger and riptide Gp.

Yeah Forget to mention that. How does the US variant compare to the international version in terms of benchmarks?
Help this Android noob out, what exactly does this mean?
It's a general performance guide that measures CPUs & GPUs using synthetic benches. It is not meant to have great accuracy across all ranges But it's fun to compare other devices by there benchmark score. Basically determines how fast you're device is or to do a comparison of another device. I think aha
are you guys using antutu?
if i use antutu is closes right after the little androids flying around test and gives me a score around 4000 or so.... my rooted esteem was at 4640's :-/
so ive been using others that tell me 3 different scores, 12,000, 5,800, and 1300
That's a very nice score....I'm never going to beat that. Not without a custom Rom/kernel anyways. What would happen if I overclock Or put a custom kernel & Rom on my device. Would I get a very high cpu score and keep my very high I/O score? If so those results would be pretty impressive if I do say so myself. So does my I/O have nothing to do with my Sd card then?

im actually getting similar graphics scores to you guys. isnt the mali400mp supposed to be much faster than the adreno 225? or is this just proof that quadrant is worthless? lol

for a reference with the quadrant breakdowns...a US Spec GS3 is pretty equal in terms of graphics (2d and 3d)...CPU and I/O is not even in the same galaxy(see what i did there lol)....but memory is quite a bit better on the US spec phone...

Why is memory higher on the US S3?
