Question Deleting Multiple emails in Gmail on S3

Hi

Is there a way to select all emails in Gmail, rather than having to select individual ones to delete?

Thanks

Yes, you should see a small box to the left of the emails. Tap the box and put check marks next to the ones you want to delete, then tap the trash can at the bottom.

That's selecting them individually still though right? Not a mass delete like the OP is after.

Your quite right.

Can't understand why there just appears to be no select all and delete option.

Well, what is specifically being asked is the step before that, which would be a "Select all" In the gmail application

FYI.... I figured out how to delete multiple emails in gmail on my s3. note: you do have to log onto a pc and delete all the emails you want deleted from your device. so you can't do it soley from your device. But once you have done that follow these steps:

-in gmail app, hit the menu button and select "settings"
- in settings, select your gmail account
- under data usage select "gmail sync is ON"
-select the google icon/email addy
-select sync gmail
-boom
