Default S3 Call Quality

I have seen many complaints about the call quality of the S3 ( My S3 is in the mail to me from Verizon).

I see that the S3 from Sprint has been released for Jelly Bean. Can anyone that has had call problems tell ne if Jelly Bean has solved the call quality problem?

I didn't know the S3 had any call quality issues. I never had any issues with mine.

I'm sure you can find a thread outlining any "problem" that you want to have, if you look hard enough.

I am on AT&T and the call quality is great....strong sound, speakerphone is good, etc.

Just enjoy your phone and quit being neurotic about it when you don't even have the phone yet. So you ordered the phone, haven't even used it for yourself, yet you are worried to make sure that the new JB update "fixes" a problem that someone else thinks they have according to a thread on a chat board.

My guess is if you hadn't read the board and just used your phone, you wouldn't have found any issue with call quality. There are millions of units out there and if call quality were a major problem, believe me you'd be hearing about it ad nauseam on this board and others....

Hogan773 - There is a lot of truth in what you are saying. I got the S3 about an hour ago and now have it all setup. I set it up for my wife for a few days so she can see if she wants it or an iPhone5. After a few days I will reconfigure it for me after she makes up her mind.

I heard the S3 was a great phone and that is why I upgraded to it (fron Bionic) but afterwards I then heard about the supposed call quality issue and it does appear on many forums but I do not know how widespread the issue is. The way I got the phone I can return it in a week or so and that is why I am trying to learn as much about the issue as possible.

I know I had a call quality issue with my ThunderBolt which Verizon finally fixed but it was very annoying until they upgraded the software.

While this may not be a widespread issue I really want to know all I can about it in the next few days.

Thanks

Well, I personally never experienced any of these call quality issues on my SGS3. I did have some issues on my old HTC Desire Z where once in a while the sound is garbled. This was back in late 2010/early 2011 and then the problem went away.

I do know that a couple of months ago there was a firmware update for the SGS3 which I installed. I think it was in August. I did notice that I had some carrier data connection issues before then and afterwards it was much more stable. I don't think the update fixed it. I think it may be more of a carrier issue because I still had that issue once after the update and then none since.
