Default New to Forum & New to S3

Hey Everyone,

Just got my S3 & I'm not very tech savvy, was wondering if anyone can help me out on a couple of things I'm confused about?? I have an mp3 ringtone as my sms notification but if I'm on a call & an sms comes in the ringtone plays so both myself & my caller can hear it, I've never had that happen with past phones?? Also when I'm writing an sms message quite often it will change from the sms format to the mms format, I don't know why it's doing this but I don't know how to change it back either?? Anyone out there who can explain both of these things & how I can rectify them please???

sms convert to mms if more than x (10?) recipients or more than x (possibly 3?) standard sms in length.

as for the notification, if its loud i guess the caller would hear it. there are settings for notifications during a call but my phone isnt with me so cant look it up. not sure if its in messaging, sound or call settings

No probs. I'm a hardcore user and without my phone I could only narrow it down to one of three places so its all good
