There are times when the phone can take hours to charge when it's sitting in standby with the only apps running being FB and Skype. I know both of these are chatty apps requiring constant use of the WiFi but should it take so long to charge? My iPhone 4 with the same apps would always take roughly the same time but I need to understand the way in which the way in which the GS3 works I guess. I'm using the OEM 1A charging adapter so there shouldn't be any lack of current.
Hours does not tell us much about the actual time it takes.
The more the phone is used during charging, the longer it will take to charge. Simple as that.
