Default Setting Lock Screen Wallpaper for download

Greetings,
I have downloaded some wallpapers (best wallpapers & backgrounds) and I want to set my lock screen wallpaper to one of those.
When i go into settings > display > wallpaper > lock screen
I only have two options, "wallpapers" and "gallery". My downloaded wallpapers do not appear in either of these.
How can I find out where the wallpapers are actually stored that I downloaded and how do I point to these new wallpapers when setting a lock screen please?
Thanks
David

Make sure the wallpapers are in a folder named Download, if not move them there.
Download Folder is on your phone, not the built in SD card.
Gallery should see then.

Thanks. I cannot find the wallpapers I downloaded to be able to move them. And how do I tell the difference between the download folder on the phone and the one on the builtin SD card? I have an App called ES File explorer but when I open it, the dropdown box at the top says its showing my builin sd card and i cannot seem to browse the "phone" download folder or even the external sd card for that matter.

If you downloaded the wallpapers with an app (Zedge, etc.) usually the app has it's own directory. Look there first.

Using ES, the directory shown in the pull down /sdcard/ is on the phone.

I use Astro File Manager. It shows both internal and external SD cards.
If you use Astro, the My files 1 is internal, My Files 2 is external.

I found out that with ES explorer I have to hit favourites and then I get the option to browse the external SD card. However, I still cannot find the wallpaper images .

Eh? The "built in sd card" or EMMC is "phone". The only other option is the external sd card. As it happens, the /sdcard mount point is on the EMMC and this is where the /Downloads directory is.

They do not show up in the gallery and Ive looked everywhere and even searched everything for pictures and no jpgs turn up. I cannot use the app itself to set the lock screen. It appears that the app stores the pictures maybe in some kind of compressed file and you must use the app to extract the image?

Could the download have been a Zip file. It may need to be unzipped.

Im not sure what was downloaded - I just installed it from the store.
I dont know how to find any files that were added by an install.
I guess if someone has time they could try it for themselves as its a free app.
Its called "Best Wallpapers & backgrounds" on the google play store.

Ok, downloaded, go into the App Draw and tap Widgets and you will find it. It will only do the Home Screen not the Lock Screen, but once the Home Screen is set it will show in the Gallery and you can set it from there.

Every provider has set their SG3 up differently. I'm with Sprint, I happen to have /download on both internal memory and external SD card.
Depending on which file explorer you use, there are many variables on how this will show up on your phone. One way might show it as extSDcard, sdcard0. Another will show as My files 1 and My files 2.

So, we both might be correct depending on how the phone is setup.
