Default JB 4.1.2 notification bar

can i add my own creations to the notification bar like keep screen alive toggle etc? b it of an obvious one for them to miss..

is it worth a root now 4.1.2 out im not expecting another update anytime soon which one would you recomend?

I use wanam lite in my signature. It has an option to use 23 toggles mod as you install it.

There's also a good multi window mod that allows almost all apps to work with multi window

These are all for the i9300 though. International s3

Pretty much, most of the touchwiz based custom ROMs allow you to customize the notification bar by using mods. The one suggested by SUroot is one of them. You can also flash Omega or crDroid. As of now, I am using the latter. By the way, whether you want to root or not it's up to you, personally a wouldn't enjoy the phone without root, the decision is yours.

The above refers to the I9300.

cheers, ive rooted in the past with other phones was a lot more essential back then getting a tab2 soon so i expect the phone will go on the back burner for a while..
