Default SMS Notification

Anyone know how I get my SGS3 to announce the sender of an SMS (provided they are in contacts) when an SMS is received. Mine does not do this and yes I have Driving Mode on.

My SGS1 did this "out of the box" so I am amazed the SGS3 does not do this.

Would like to know who the message is from before I get out of my comfortable lounge to read the message .
