Hey Fellow Droiders,

I need some help about updates please.

I am on Vodafone UK and have a rooted S3 running JB 4.1.1.

Basically a few friends were showing me the update on JB with the sidebar etc. I totally forgot all about this update, so when i got home i checked for updates and i get this message....



I'm surmising this is because it is rooted but my friends phone is also rooted and he received the update weeks ago.

Any 1 know what i can do to get the new update or if there is a way around this please

since you're rooted, you could always flash a ROM with the version you want.

if you want the official update, you may lose root.

So basically i need to unroot my phone, install updates and then reroot it again?
