Unhappy Can't make a notification to go away!
This is the notification and i can make it go away...this icon apeared few days ago and since then not even one (other notifications) appear there, only this one ... can some1 help me with a tip?
PS: Inside of this sign it's a "-" (minus) The shape it's like this < followed by a square ... i can't post with a picture..(it looks like a open envelope on a left side with a minus inside
BTW the phone it's a Samsung galaxy S3

Sounds like you toggled notifications off using the notifications toggle in the notification area.

Might be the icon for notifications disabled.
Try a long press on the left corner of the notification bar ...

Yes the picture confirms mine and Harrys diagnosis. Not that we needed confirmation though. Used to get 2 threads a day on this at one point.

Pull down the notification drop down. There is a row of big buttons across the top of it called "notification toggles".

These toggles include things like GPS, Bluetooth etc.

One of these toggles is to toggle off notifications. Pressing this button (Which may look like an I in a circle or something - differs on each model) will toggle notifications on and off.
