Exclamation Traveling Abroad Question about charger

Hey Everyone,

I am planning to travel overseas specifically in Hong Kong region and maybe Japan or S.Korea.

I am worried about the different voltage/currents that may mess up my S3 phone. (Mine was from T-mobile if it makes any difference to the variables)

Does the AC adapter automatically adjust if I plugged it onto a universal outlet adapter thing?

I am looking into this:
Amazon.com: 2 Pack Universal Travel Power Adapter For US UK EU AU.: Electronics

It says For US UK EU AU -- does Hong Kong follow the EU voltage/outlets?

edit:
Also if I were to get a sim card from HK for temporary phone services would it be usable on my S3 phone? I keep reading about different frequencies in different countries?

Many Thanks!

Look at your charger ... you'll see "INPUT: 100-240V~...".
This mean it's the electrical input voltage range of the charger.

So you can use it round the world

i went to South Korea last year when i used to have the Galaxy Nexus.

i just used the wall plug that came with the phone. all i had to buy was an adapter that allowed me to plug it into their outlets.

as for SIM card, as long as your phone is SIM unlocked, then you can use a foreign SIM card.
