Default Automatic brightness problem with 4.3

I have a high capacity battery, and like to keep my display as bright as possible all the time. To do this I disable Automatic Brightness in the display menu. However, after upgrading to 4.3, I can't keep Automatic Brightness disabled very long. It very frequently turns itself back on.
Does anyone know how to keep Automatic Brightness disabled?
Thanks.

Wait for the next 4.3 update? The one with that bug fixed? (How many different bugs is that reported so far? I'm running out of numbers.)

You could try a 3rd party brightness manager, like Lux. That might give you what you need in a different way.

No issues here, 4.3 runs like butter for me.

Don't know why, but suddenly it started working properly. Even better than it did before I upgraded, when the automatic brightness feature would always kick in later in the evening.
