Doubt it. Here is a hands-on video where the phone LAGS!

Samsung Galaxy S4 hands-on - YouTube

The HTC One didn't even lag once in any hands-on review or review video I've seen yet this Samsung does.

I don't buy into the crap that Samsung didn't include final software or hardware especially since these phones were given to the press for a first hands-on.

Well, it was... Different. I thought the eraser feature was pretty cool. Nothing else really stood out.

It's not a bad upgrade, it keeps removable SD Card and battery, which is separating itself from pretty much everyone else. Yeah it's plastic, but that is Samsung, they are doing pretty good with it now...

My only concern is verizon radios. Both GNex and GS3 were disappointing in that respect. We will see.

I thought the S-Translate was pretty cool, not sure how it compares to anything on the market already, but it would come in handy when I pop over the boarder. Sometimes it's difficult not knowing French when going to Montreal.

It's not so great results. But looks like that's from Chinese leaked proto-type device. Hopefully the final ones are better.

There is more than enough performance with the Quad Core Cortex A15, SGX544MP3 and 2GB of RAM under the hood so hopefully it's just a software issue or these are not final versions of the phone.

The S3 lagged like crazy. Especially the US models.
The S4 shown is only a little better in terms of fluidity but it still lags which is unacceptable.

Most likely $199 for 16GB while HTC is giving the HTC One for $199 for 32GB!

My S3 doesn't lag at all, can't comment on the US versions.

And you could judge that from a video presentation, of a new device which won't be available for at least a month, watched over the internet?

Note to ALL:
Opinion and discussion is fine, but any hint of flaming will be quickly stamped out. This is an Android handset being discussed, not a religious cult. Unlike the latter, if you don't like the former you're free to leave and find another more to your liking.

One thing I noticed in the demo is how cautious they were when flipping screens. It seemed to move fluidly but they did not flip fast either. If I am walking down the street using the phone, I will be flipping much faster than they did in the demo.

Guys Guys Guys....Easy does it!

All those that know me know that I'm a huge phone whore and blast threw tons of phones per year...I'm a tech geek and my lifestyle allows me to enjoy my tech fetish..err habit! lol...

In any event lets all be clear right about now...This phone looks exactly like an S3! That's the 1st thing that pops into an Android fanatics head when they look at the S4. Getting past the looks of the phone (which matters to some, including me) and peeking under the hood will yes indeed reveil some new additions, and most will welcome those additions. Will I welcome them, probably not...I'm very much into hardware these days, and have grown pretty bored with touch wiz. And before some jump down my throat, I've been a Samsung soldier since the Fascinate (S1) days and have owned just about every high end Android smartphone made by Samsung on just about every U.S. carrier...So I've put my time in!

I'm not some new jack that's just bashing the S4 and saying it suxxx, not even close! What I am saying is that this is getting old with manufacturers releasing the same phone the following year with updated specs...I cursed Apple when they did it with the iphone 3 and then the 3GS, and the 4, and then the 4s, and recently the HTC one X and then X+.

This is Samsung, the guys who basically are neck and neck with Apple as far as popularity goes with the S series of phones vs the iphone...And here we are with the same S as last year with some updated specs and the same old hardware...Stop telling me about removable batteries and what not, I dont want a removable battery, I want a sealed battery that doesn't have a creaky battery door... I want quality over plastic...Other manufacturers are doing it, and so should Samsung...Again, Just my 2 cents in all this. If your a Samsung fan and your coming from an S2, by all means get the S4...But don't sit there and act like Samsung just reinvented the word...Smart Phone!

Regarding the battery, I am glad to seem them put something real in such as the 2600 mah pack. I still have a Nexus S 4g with 1500mah pack and I hate life. I hope the new offering allows 16 hrs of use between charges. That would be an improvement to me. How is SIII battery life?

The thing to remember is that yes it has a bigger battery than the S3 (2100 vs 2600), but the S3 was 720p and the S4 is 1080p. That means more power needs to be used to push all those extra pixels to the screen.

Also, since they're moving towards being more business friendly, it makes me wonder how locked down this device is going to be? Are they going to take a page out of Motorola's book?

I was going to respond to pentile display thing on other thread but it got closed.

It's not exactly the same pentile display used in GS1, GS3. It's different sub-pixel layout called diamond-shaped matrix. Not sure if this is equivalent to square RGB layout in sharpness, clarity, but I think it's surely better than old pentile pixels.

Does Google Translate offer full functionality even without a data connection? That's what seems to be the USP for S-Translate.

I flashed my SG2 with NeatRom and is it smooth as butter. There is no way SGS3 would lag.

Lame to say the least, why not cal it the S3S. Who needs more megapixels, how about brag about a different sensor. Same design = barf. I expected more from Samsung. They are obviously not very innovative with their designs.

it's called design language!!!!!

Samsung is not change their design every year, your product will never have a signature look if you change design every generation.

Why are products like Macbook, Thinkpad so popular, because they don't change their design signature.

And why are companies like HTC failing, because they pull out random design over year, a person can't not because attached to a brand if the look of the product changes all the times.

Edit:can't criticise a brand here too much.

Listen man...I get what your saying! But you just mentioned lap tops, not smart phones! In the smart phone world things move really really fast. And revolutionary designs is what it's going to be all about. Lets just say samsung decided to maybe add some metal to they're new S4, or maybe changed the layout of touchwiz a little bit? You see in the tech game now you have to take chances, it's just that simple. do you really think Apple will reign supreme forever at the rate they're going, no way...They are going to have to bring a ton of brand new stuff to the game in 2013, which they will...A new ipad, a new mini with a retina screen, new macbooks, and I can guarantee you the hardware of the iphone will be updated...We are coming into a time when people enjoy a quality device that can back up the cost with looks...

What Sammy just did was basically give you a GS3s...thats not revolutionary in my book for 2013. Now as I stated previously, if someone is coming off a GS2, or maybe a Gnex then I can see them being pretty excited. But for people who really pay attention to tech, this is a bit underwhelming. I don't want to make this a GS4 vs HTC one thread, but in all honestly...Based on what each manufacturer has presented with they're new flag ship devices, my nod goes to HTC for really putting the time and effort into building a real head turner of a device that screams absolute Quality! Different strokes for different folks partner...

I think you are confusing design language with hardware improvement.
