Default Sprint is officially delayed until May 4th!

I'm so irritated. I walked into a couple different places today and they all flat out said the release was delayed.

I know how you feel. I think this delay just pushed me to the HTC One.

You mean "in store" ????? I preordered online and received mine today.

I would wait if I were you as I have only used it a couple hours and it is really nice.

Best. Phone. Ever. Got mine today, but still waiting for the cases to come in. If you're mad about a few days wait, imagine if you were a verizon customer.

Not sure where this information comes from. My store is receiving inventory

limited yes, just as any high profile device had been

but there was never any official date announcement of a delay on Sprint's end that we were made aware of at the store

Preordered mine @ the 6 am pre sale launch date and time, said I was first on phone to order it here. Got it yesterday one day early than launch date, it is worth the wait. But did see the sold out in over a day on per orders

I just went to my local sprint store to exchange the HTC one for the S4 and was told they are hopefully getting a few in today but not many. Unfortunately I left the store still holding the HTC one

Haha I will be doing the same as you. I like the ones build but I have been having issues with it and I prefer touch wiz .

This whole joke of a launch is 100% Samsung. The S3 launch was a case study example of precision compared to this.

I got mine...So it's not completely delayed. I was the first one in the store to get one. Wasn't even a line because they were telling everyone they would not be getting them today!

Yet they supplied stores with more s4's than Apple did on the I phone 5 launch and than HTC on the ONE launch...even after the ONE launched weeks late?

not seeing the joke

trust me i would love to have more phones

I don't get to get mine until consumer needs have been met

I was at my local sprint store today for the second time to exchange the ONE for the S4 with about 20 other people and seems like everyone wanted the S4 and got one, so stores are getting several.

just got rid of my second S4...Swapped it for an HTC One

#1. Slow....Browsing through pictures was painful
#2. Terrible cell coverage in my house compared to my Evo
#3. Kept stuttering when changing screens
#4. Camera was not as impressive as I thought it would be...

This is after factory resetting the devices. Took it back to Sprint, second one was exactly the same (you can see the picture of my OLD device a few posts up....)

I like the One a lot better!!!!!!

Default Any Sprint users get the S4 Yet?

Just a quick question for any Sprint customer that has upgraded to the Galaxy S4. Or just ordered it online? (From what I hear that is about the only way to order it right now)

I am having to wait until Wed, May 1st to upgrade, and wondering what your upgrade price for the 32g Version of the S4.

Thanks in advance.

Good luck, mine has been fine. So in only a couple hours going by your posts here, you could exchange "2" S4's and get a One on top of that and use both enough to comment when hardly anyone else can even get anything from the Sprint store??

Sorry, I think not. I have had my S4 for about 24 hours now and still trying out new things and seeing what it can do.

...Look at the pictures in my posts before you make unfounded accusations....BTW do you see the date on the screen of my 1st S4. from earlier today.

Of course I took them back, I could not get phone service. It would not even connect to my Airave properly. After they looked at the devices at the store they came to the same conclusion and waived the return fee that is charged when swapping different devices.

Yes and that is exactly why I said what I did. The date on the One is from a Tuesday. If you got it today it would say SATURDAY. You said you "swapped 2 S4's for the One" TODAY in your post above.

Tuesday? Where do you get that from? Look at the Galaxy picture 2 posts above that .. It's today......Saturday April...27 on the screen of the S4....Not to mention if you drag the pictures to your desktop, right click, properties and look at the details (EXIF) information you will see when they were taken...

Would you like to see a picture of the 2nd uneven exchange receipt?

That is the date one person gave me, but come to think of it, he may have been trying to discourage me from buying the S4. He seemed pretty insistant that the Note 2 was the phone to have and he could set me up with it right then.

Ahhhh...classic sell what you have.

Personally I carry a note 2, will be getting an s4 from work and have a one on the way.

My in store comparisons ...the one is the winner in the screen and camera categories.

I have not spent enough time with both to comment on lag but reviews everywhere are tearing the s4 apart

I will wait until I have all three before making a true comparison/decision.

That doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence, but I figure it should at least be better than the S3 which is a good phone I hear, but the S4 should be better.

The only reviews I've seen ripping the S4 were mostly down on the packaging, not the package. Seems the non-techie in the press are more impressed with an alum case than what is in it. The places that have real techies on board are giving the S4 great reviews. I've read pretty much every review out there and if you filter out the "we don't like plastic" crowd, the reviews are very good overall.

As an iteration, I think it's a great step up for a lot of folks. But I also think that the hardware is starting to mature pretty rapidly, like home computers have been for years. It's getting harder and harder to get that "wow" factor in a new smartphone, IMO.

And back to the subject of the thread, our local Sprint stores and BB got their retail Sprint S4's in mid-day on Saturday.

Actually I was talking about user reviews on the multiple forums like here and xda..most of which are complaining about lag, overheating and screen brightness

I checked a sprint store in WI the other day. The gal said they had 10 of them of each color total of 20 in stock. Not bad.

Really HTC One wins screen over s4? i think not.

I think saying "most of" is an exaggeration. A few are having some issues, and some of that is just learning a new phone, IMO.

Yeah I question that..."most of" them are in the opposite forums...

posts where people swapped back and forth between the two.

I haven't spent enough time with them yet. It isn't about choice for me really...I get both of them haha. Really the choice for me is between my Note 2 and the the two new phones

For the one vs s4 comparisons,I really wanted to like the one, and I really wanted to get a non galaxy s phone, but there is to much wrong with the one for me to have gotten it. Sense is awful, it's really bad, the 5 mega pixel camera didn't cut it except in close up pics and low light, anything else and it gets blurry at higher resolutions, the metal, which is nice, is over rated in my opinion, it gets hot and can scratch and dent. The best feature is the front facing speakers. Oh and what annoys me the most is only having a home and back button, that really killed the deal when I was still considering getting one. There is just too much I don't lie about it, not to mention HTC and their bad reputation of not updating phones after about a year

Lol, yeah. Obviously the May 4th date was wrong. It didn't take them long to get more phones in. I was able to purchase it at the Sprint store a couple days ago.
