Default can I use my s2 charger with my s4?

I only ask because I noticed the amp rating was different so wasn't too sure if it would be ok?

Thanks

James

The only difference the lower amperage will make is to take longer to charge.

S4 charger is rated at 1 amp if I am correct? The S2 charger is rated at 0.7 so technically, yes, you could use your S2 charger on your S4 it will just charge it a little bit slower.

The S2 charger works fine, I'm still using mine.

The S4 charger is actually 2A not 1A so it's pretty powerful considering how small it is. The only difference the maximum current makes (and it's a maximum, the phone will draw what it needs) is how quickly the phone will charge.

I haven't actually unpacked my S4 charger as I kept my S2 accessories (which are black like my S4) after I sold my S2 and since I always plug my phone in to charge it overnight, I don't care whether it takes one hour or three to charge as it will be fully charged by morning no matter what happens.

Exactly. So there should be no problem using a 10A iPad charger either. The phone will take what it needs.
