Default i9500 overheating

hi, my new s4 i9500 temp rises to 53C when gaming or even using a lot of apps/browsing. i know that some encountered that issue but after trying everything i thought maybe it is the battery. on the back of the battery it states MADE AND ASSEMBLED IN CHINA. isn't the battery supposed to be manufactured in korea? my battery also have considerably short life. what do you think?

Purchasing a new, quality brand battery (or trying a friend's known good battery) is the best way to test for a bad battery.

If the new battery causes the same behavior as the old one, and if you're certain that you're not over-taxing the system with a multitude of services open and running, and you're not rooted and have not over-clocked the CPU, then you may have received the OTA which seems to have caused this issue with many S4 phones. Here is a video describing a ("partial") remedy for that:

that's not true. I know a lot of people with s4 that get 35-40c max even on games.
