Hey vgjfelix... what is the app you have running that shows in your notifications page - looks like a graph of battery drain or something. At least it's in the first few videos I have got through as yet. Coincidently I am looking for a better battery monitor app.

Great work on the videos.

Personally, I HATE auto-update for apps. Too many times updates break apps and lots of times reverting is a PITA. I manually update after reading the first few newest reviews on the app as this should tell you if it's broken or not. It saved me lots of grief with the recent transition from Talk to Hangouts. For months the online/offline feature and friends list was broken to the point I would have hated my life since I use it a lot. Fortunately they fixed what MANY users had been complaining about for months and I was finally able to upgrade. Had I had auto-update enabled it would have been a terrible inconvenience for months. There's been a few others that were broken for some time due to updates but that's the first & most recent one that comes to mind. I generally sit down to check my apps for updates when on WiFi and that was a habit I got into when I had unlimited data.

^ Same here, I disable auto-updates. Let others beta test them and if reviews are good, then I'll manually update to them. That said, with an app like Titanium Backup, one can uninstall a bad update and revert back to the previous version.

Hi vgjfelix, videos are great. I am a fairly new owner of a Samsung Galaxy S4 compared to the user manual your videos have shown me things that I did not know existed.

Thanks and kind regards

I'm always running out of battery on my phone, whether I monitor it or not. I found this emergency cell phone charger that seems to be pretty good though.

I knew about all of that save for right at the end with the long press on the back button. That's awesome! You can also enable/disable in the quick toggles in the notification pull-down which is how I've been doing it but this is much easier. Thanks for sharing!

Ditto! I learned something new here also. And here's another tipů you can press and drag the multi-window "tab" vertically to reloacate it, in case it's in the way of something on-screen. You can even drag it horizontally to have it pop out on the right side of the screen.

I wish mine worked that way. Unfortunately, when I touch the slider, the check disappears from the box and the slider becomes the brightness control. If I check the box, the brightness has its own way of figuring out how bright it should be.

I much prefer the way yours works and wonder why they vary in function.

I used LUX for a while and really liked it, but had trouble with it after upgrading from 4.2.2 to 4.3 so am back to the OEM brightness control.

If you filled out your profile w/location & carrier info it would be less confusing for us when you do post a feature that we don't have.

That's a good suggestion in general.

I for one am just thankful that vgFelix takes the time to make and share great videos.

I did notice that option for the slider that shifts auto brightness is available under xposed wanam module (requires root)....themes menu (on my att sghi337 running 4.3 /mk2) but it didn't work well for me...I went back and disabled it.

Right after updating to 4.3, I had trouble with LUX and uninstalled it. I'm not particularly pleased with the stock auto brightness function so I reinstalled LUX yesterday and restored my old settings. Seems to be working well now and I like it a lot better than the stock system (after customizing it a bit, of course).
