Hello, and welcome to AF!

I do not have an S4 so I can not tell you how to do that.

Going to move your post over here to see if they can give you a hand.

dustwun77, I think you should move it to the forum for his old phone, not his new; those are the people who will know how the old phone hides stuff (assuming he used a stock app).

You may be right about that.

I would need him to tell me which Evo it is, first, though.

Good EyE!

In that case I'd say this belongs in Android Applications.

So, did you install the app on the new phone? According to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tonado.boli.hermit.hider :
Quote:
I hided some files and uninstalled this app, will my hidden files get lost?
No. The hidden files are still stored secretly and safely somewhere on your phone and you can re-install this app again any time when you want to restore them. NOTHING WILL GET LOST!
Ok, I just installed the app, hid a file, and it is now on my SD card in a folder structure as follows:
.hermit/recovery_area/.mnt.hider/.sdcard.hider/
Files and directories beginning with a period are normally hidden from display in Linux and Android. ES File Explorer is able to display it with the "Show hidden files" option enabled.

Search your old SD card for files with the extension .hider, move them your S4 and install this hide app on your S4.
BTW, just I've read the reply of Emily Smith in Play Store with the app 'File Hide Expert'

Edit: I see, Divinebovine was faster

I will leave the thread here as it seems he got the support need and the fact that he already has these files on is S4 already, if not resolved let us know and we will take it from here. You got great advice from experienced members, you should be good to go, cheers
