Correct. However, you can
configure separate notifications with some 3rd-party launchers (e.g., Apex Pro, Nova, ADW EX). The notifications via this method will appear as iPhone-style (i.e., a number in a notification balloon, superimposed on a corner of the app icon). To make it work, you have to enable notification in the launcher and dis
able system notification for that app:
Manage apps (select the "All" tab, scroll to the app in question and uncheck "Show notifications")
