Default How to remove searchmobileonline.com

I have read everything I can find online about removing this. I did recover my browser by clearing the cache. I have tried several ad removal and virus scanning apps that find nothing. The "Search" app icon is still on my desktop. That is the only place this Search app shows up. It does not show up in Application Manager or any Uninstall apps. I'm sure just deleting the app icon from the desktop is not the answer. Running Verizon SCH-I545 MDK rooted.

Since your are rooted, try downloading Titanium Backup if you don't already have it. Click the backup & restore tab and scan through that list. It tends to be a little more complete than the application manager. If you find it, tap it and titanium backup should be able to delete by tapping delete.

Couldn't remember everything I have tried. That was one one the first things I tried. Doesn't show up there either. Thank you.

Have you tried using a root file explorer and look in the directory where apps typically get installed?

I did a complete search and found nothing with Root Explorer, ES File Exolorer, File Expert and Titanium. Haven't seen anything that seem closely related to an icon called "Search" related to www.searchmobileonline.com
