Default Apps

I have several apps on the SD card whose icons are not showing up at all. Why is this? Also, if there is a 4G network available will my phone automatically use it instead of 3G?

If your apps are widgets, they that is why they aren't showing up. It isn't recommended to move widgets to the SD card. If they aren't widgets, how did you get them to your card. Did you use the App Manager to move them there. Sometimes uninstall/reinstall helps with these situations.

Your phone should automatically recognize and switch to 4G when available.

I haven't installed App Manager yet. What's the difference between an app and a widget?

AN app is a program that fully launches on your phone. Widgets are those things that appear on your home screens, such as clocks and other miscellaneous items that aren't just "shortcut icons".
