Firstly im new on here as I have never had a problem with Android before, but this one has stumped me.
I have a GS4 on O2 UK as a work phone supplied and run by my employer, (very kind of them). I have my email linked to the phone through the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. This is done by my IT department who set the phone up before I collected it. It uses the standard email app and to my knowledge it has to be this email app.
Everything on the phone runs fine except the attachment side of emails. Basically I cant view attachments. All the settings in the email app are correct to my knowledge. When I click on view nothing happens, the progress bar just sits at 0%. My IT team spoke to O2, who sent out a brand new handset, considering mine was less than a week old I thought they may be right and the handset could be faulty.
Anyway, phone turned up, I put the SIM in and set up the phone again. Guess what... same problem, no attachments. IT spoke to O2 again who said they would send out a new SIM card. I then went on 2 weeks holiday and left the phone at home. When I got back and finally had to go back to work, I turned the phone on and checked my email etc and funnily enough the attachments downloaded. I rang IT and told them not to worry about the new SIM as everything was working fine now.
So today Monday (a week later) I went to view an attachment and FFS the attachments wont download! I have emailed my IT and will speak to them tomorrow, but I thought I would seek advice from the experts on here.
The only thing I have noticed is that my phone email Signature has re set. I did have my name, phone number etc set up so when I sent emails from my phone it looked professional. It has now gone back to default. My battery ran out over the weekend and any emails from then wont download their attachments but emails received before the weekend are fine!!
I dont understand what is going on. Please help as I really need my phone working 100% for my job.
Thanks to anyone who replies.
