Default How do I get rid of Armor AntiVirus POPUP??

This is driving me absolutely nuts. This thing pops up every 3 minutes and does a "scan".

I have no idea where it came from or how to get rid of it. Any help will be appreciated!

Sounds like you've either got a virus or adware. If it's showing up in your notification window, press and hold on it until the App Info button pops up. Click it and it will tell you what app is producing it.

Seems to be a new kind of aggessive advertising or even malware, and it might be caused by a recently installed or updateted app on your phone.

First step should be to install and run some push ad network detectors.

Good luck!

Try to go in and clear your cache and your cookie history, then reboot the phone. That might help. It got rid of a rogue porno pop-up that I had been getting a couple of weeks ago.I haven't seen it since. I have also since installed an ad blocker (adfree) and an anti virus app.(I am rooted).

Look to see if the app is installed, and uninstall it. Also, check device admin to see if it is present there, and if so, remove that and then uninstall the app.

I would say look to your recently installed apps and uninstall a few. I've had that happen when I tried a couple of 'free' .mp3 download apps. It's been a while but I think I even had some similar stuff happen whenever I used anything "GO". Like Go Launcher, Go SMS, etc.

good luck

It actually came preinstalled on my AT&T phone and the only way I got rid of it was to root the phone and uninstall most of the junk that AT&T added.
