Default Lock screen shortcuts

Just got my s4.. confused about the shortcut apps in the lock screen.

I followed a video which said to go to lock screen in my device under settings and activate the shortcut. I don't have that option available, half the options are there from the video

Any ideas?

Upload a screen shot please and which model/carrier.
In mine, tmobile(us) M919 all I did was: from home screen, tap menu, tap settings(at bottom), tap my device(second from left to right, at the top), tap lock screen (first option). Option #4 down the line is Shortcuts(on/off button).

If you're using any lock screen security, options like that are disabled. By default, they're allowed on the Swipe Unlock only.

Ah that's the problem!

I had the pattern lock on.. is there no way to have the shortcut and keep the security?
