Default Media-Wakelock battery hog

So, my phone went from 100% down to 80% in 3 hours in airplane mode today. It says about (rounded to the nearest whole percentage) 40% is "Media" (I was playing music on the stock music app), and about 37% is "System (*wake lock*)".

A few minutes of screen use, and otherwise nothing. Only issue other than this is my headphone jack going out again. I'm gonna go to Verizon and order another refurb today. It is loose and anything I plug into it won't stay locked in.

Will having to keep plugging the ear buds in again and touch "play" on the music app all the time even with little screen time cause this?
