Question Text sent out of order - Samsung Galaxy S4

Hello all:

Hoping someone can help me out... (apologies in advance if this has been a previous topic).

When I text anyone who doesn't own the same phone, they get my text message out of order. Whether its one text with multiple paragraphs OR multiple text messages. I've read that my "Date & Time" need to be on "Automatic" and I've check on that and it is.

On a side note, I do not have issues receiving texts.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

I have the Galaxy S4 and mine does the same thing....it's very confusing when you receive multiple texts from someone and you have to decipher which is the correct order to read them in so they make sense. LOL.

It sounds as though it's sending as an MMS. Note normal SMS uses a basic character set when composing a message. If you start using accented, currency or fraction characters, it automatically switches the message to an MMS. Depending on the settings in Messenger, it may do this without warning. Instead of count characters out of 160, it list as a data limit 1K on the right of the message box. Have a look at the right side character counter as you type a message. Also some networks will combine a very long message (3 x160) into an MMS instead without you making that choice.

Ok! I will have to check into that.

I ASSuMEd that it would only change to MMS from SMS if I was adding an attachment. I guess that is not the case... Pfft.

Thanks for your help!
