Default Android kernal on 4.4.2

Updated to 4.4.2 today and the kernal is burning 40% of battery. Factory reset it and it's still doing it, is this something others have experienced and is there a fix?

According to a report on tech radar uninstalling skype should help as can be read here

Google working on Android KitKat fix for camera app battery drain | News | TechRadar

not sure if it works as i am not going to update mine & am sticking at 4.3

give it a week OR less to observe.. just updated mine hours ago. .. I disabled some useless google apps running. . .
