Samsung Galaxy Tab with Droid 2 - Tethering?

Hi! I am looking to get a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. I already have a Droid 2 (not rooted, VerizonWireless) and I was thinking I might be able to find a way to use the D2 to provide WiFi for the Tablet. Any thoughts on this? Bad idea? Thanks!
