Default Galaxy Nexux 7 or Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.0?

Hi, I have 2 days left on my return period at Best Buy for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.0 and although I really like my tablet, should I return it and buy the Google Nexus 7 10 inch?

I want to hear from you and what you think. Keep it? Refund? Go for Jelly Bean? Wait another 6 months until Christmas and buy the Microsoft Surface?

I'm an early adopter by buying the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.0, and I'm not experiencing buyer's remorse because it performs as intended for my school and work plans. I tried the Acer Transformer tablet and it was not as good.

I downloaded a few Android apps so I'm reading my text files and acrobat pdf files perfectly - and with 9 to 10 hours of battery time. Pretty good.

I just won't know if the Microsoft Surface will have 25 hours of battery time and a keyboard included, etc...

My reasons for keeping the Samsung so far...

1. No Google spying. The Nexus 7 wants location tracking, web history, search behavior, etc., as a tradeoff for it's use.
2. MicroSD slot. The Nexus doesn't have it.
3. Standby mode. The Acer doesn't have it.

My feeling is that as long as I can get 4+ years out of this tablet, reading .pdf files for work and school, then it's worth the money I spent on it.
Even if the battery capacity drops to 70% after frequent use.

What are your thoughts?

It is my understanding that the Google Nexus 7 is currently only being released as a 7" tablet. There are supposedly plans for a Nexus 10" though I don't think there is a set release date.

I'm happy with the Galaxy 2 10.1 so far, the battery life is incredible, seems even better than my phone battery life. I haven't had any experience with other tablets though so I can't really compare.

My only concern would be a Microsoft based tablet would have mediocre app support.

My friend has a Nokia Lumia, windows based phone and the quality and quantity of apps is poor by comparison.

Personally, i dont think it will be too long before JB appears on the Galaxy Tab, especially if you consider the excellent roms being released by the like of Codeworkx.

The ability to upgrade the storage space for me was a big positive in helping me move to the tab.
