Default is there any way...

To remove the arrow at the bottom of the screen? It sits directly under the spacebar so constantly gets pressed by accident, should be at the top of the screen.

There is a way, but it requires root since you have to go into the System folder of your root directory. Not recommended.

I've just got it a couple of days ago, not ready to take the risk yet

Edit the quick launch to have only the items you really use

E-mail, Messaging and S-planner sits in my q-launch.

This is good, but I think the OP wanted to remove the button altogether. There is no way to do this without rooting and deleting certain system files.

Only way that I know of is by accessing system root folders. With the OP's GT still under warranty, rooting should not be an option unless they want to void the warranty.
I found after a month or so my index finger was "trained to not hit the arrow" If it does, it ain't no train smash. You can edit all out as well but then you lose screen real estate
