Default Bookmark icons on home screen all default "little man" after reset

hi, I am having an issue understanding why this is happening. I have a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 vanilla ICS (4.0.3) and using inbuilt browser.

I hold bookmark and then "add shortcut to home" and an icon is created on home screen with the correct individual webpage icon, but after i restart my tablet all bookmark icons on home screen show as just the generic android green man icons.

Been trying to troubleshoot for some time without a solution, any help appreciated, thanks
