Default tab 2 10.1 sudden death syndrome?

Ive just figured out why my s3 has been doing random restarts and turning itself off- there is a processor bug "sudden death syndrome" which i think an update has now fixed well i hope so, BUT my tab also does random restart or what appears to be with the samsung logo appearing on the screen as if booting up, i thought it might have been next launcher which id been using, but its still doing this after ive got rid of that.

anyone know if this is happening to the tab?

Does it happen immediately after using cut and paste? If so, it's the Samsung clipboard problem. Just delete the clipboard entries .

what is the clipboard for?

No random restarts here, only seen that on phones. In fact, I heard the Nexus 10 had phantom reboots which is one reason I chose this one over it. I did a logcat awhile back when two Android phones did that. It seems to be a kernel panic when 3G does a periodic PRL list upgrade. Switching to 2G only seemed to cure it. Do you have the 3G model of the Tab 2?

I have been getting random restarts on my WiFi only tab2. Its very frustrating. I'm not rooted or anything. If you find a solution, please share.

Mine was doing some sort of shutdown and turning itself off if on the charger for a long time (over a day) which was annoying when I'd go to use it to be greeted with the power off battery status. I just rooted and think it had something to do with that notification of "please unplug charger' which came from TouchWiz. Some energy star crap. We'll see if that fixes it. My random restarts seemed to be linked to power save mode.

well one day later, CyanogenMod 10 and overnight and all day charging and it stayed on. must have been one of the later updates to Samsung's apps. hated my tablet deciding to shut off on its own. i prefer to make that decision myself thank you very much
