Being new to the world of Android and tablets, I need some advice. Since my Galaxy Tab2 is used to access the internet and email, should I have some
form of malware/antivirus protection on it?

If so please offer a recommendation that will be compatible with the Tab2.

AVG is quite good and it's free.

I do use Lookout on both my phone & Tab2, mostly for the lost & found feature, but it does offer virus scanning also. I'm not sure how good the scanning feature works but so far nothing found on mine.

I've also heard good things about Avast for Android, I haven't tried it though.
