Default Where did Swype go?

Since the Jellybean update, my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (wifi only) no longer has Swype? How do I get it back?

Where did you get originally get Swype from? I'm still on ICS and have never had Swype on my tablet.

When I was on ICS, Swype was an option.

Check your settings for the default Samsung keyboard. It has a Swype-type option that I was able to turn on.

The option is no longer there... I have the default keyboard and nothing else.

Just go to the Swype website on your tablet and re-download it from there.

Ah now I figured it out, after I found this:
You dont need to download swype. In settings under the samsung keyboard tab click predictive text (it has to be turned on) then check the box next to "continuous input." You're good to go.

i managed to get the tip above working. When you go into the samsung keyboard settings, tap on the line for predicitive text rather than just placing tick in the box on the line. This opens up a new menu screen with the various additional options available. Only had it running a short time but very like swype so happy chappy here.

Swype?

That's what I was trying to say before. . You might want to download and flash the stock 4.2 keyboard. It has larger keys that are easier to type on and a nicer "Swype".

I tried downloading the Swype beta and out disappeared...

Anyway, I muddled through the settings and somehow got it to work, though some things were grayed out and I couldn't select the obvious choices. Thanks for the help!

Same here. It's grayed out but eventually I got it to go. I'm not a fan of Swype (or just inept) but it's good to know that it's there.

I got spoiled on Swype with my Galaxy S II 'Epic 4G' phone. It's just annoying to have to punch each button individually after you get used to Swyping (despite the inevitable errors).

You really are pushing CM10.1 hard, which makes me suspicious.

Are you just that much of a fanboy?
