Default 4.3 update for galaxy Tab2?

Will galaxy Tab2 get the latest 4.3 JB update or not? Because 4.2 JB update is still pending.

I'm still waiting for update to 4.1.2....I'm not sure why some got it and others didn't.

Since the Galaxy Tab 3 is out, I wouldn't expect to see any update for the Tab 2 until after the Tab 3 gets it. Since the Tab 3 was released with 4.1.2, I am not going to hold my breath. Also, based on support from most manufacturers for most devices, the fact that there is a Tab 3 reduces the chance that an upgrade for the Tab 2 will be released at all.

If you ask Samsung, I believe their answer will be some variation of the following (the same as any other Android manufacturer on any version question).

"There is no announced date for an update to Android x.y for that device at this time."

If it is in the works, we will probably find out by the presence of a leak a few weeks before the official release, with an official announcement of a release date a week or less before the release... probably on the first day of a roll-out deployment.

From another forum,- Nexus 7 owners have discovered that 4.3 has broken most video player apps (including MX player - my favorite) so be thankful not to get it.

4.2.2 just came out in France for the GT 3100. Sammobile has a note on it, Samsung starts Android 4.2.2 update for Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (GT-P3100) | SamMobile . It will be probably several months before it's available to everyone.

I think its because 4.1.2 is for other devices and theres already 4.1.1 and I have 4.2.2 available on GT-P5110

But sadly, still waiting for 4.3. Apparently there is a 4.3 french trial for galaxy tab 2 (3g version) after which it will hopefully be released to other galaxy tab 2s.so lets keep our fingers crossed.

Also, Little Darwin, no offence but your such a downer.

I've had 4.2.2 on my tab 2 7.0 3113 for a couple months. Love the addition of Save to external SD.

I have gotten 4.2.2 since around September or so. It would be nice to get 4.3!

Yep I have 4.2.2 also and I wonder what are the updates done to it? I really do not see much change but moving most apps to SD card....

I have seen on Samsung's website that 4.2.2 will be the last update on the Tab 2. I can't remember where on their site I seen it but I know I have seen it on the website.

I just got to say, not all android manufacturers will say that. For example, Motorola.

From last year:
The Galaxy Tab 2 by Samsung will receive Android 4.1.2 and end with Android 4.2.2. Samsung will no longer support the Galaxy Tab 2 after the Android 4.2.2 update. The updates must be done before the end of September.
Samsung to update the Galaxy Tab 2 until Android 4.2.2

Samsung has been v v slow & sloppy in India no 4.2.2 yet 4.3 is a distant dream. They say India is an 'Important market' for them but are v slow almost lethargic in their approach to updates.
