So far (its early though) I prefer it to the Flyer. As much as I love the metal frame of the HTC, I've been waiting for Honeycomb in this size and quality device for a while.
I haven't had a chance to play with the IR features though.
I'm thinking about getting one. But I don't wanna spend the 400 lol. I've thought about holding it off to Black Friday and setting my alarm at 1:00 AM or whenever is the best time for me to get to best buy first and grabbing one, at a hopefully cheaper price. But of course, we still don't know if this tab will be cheaper in the first place.
Have there been any reports of it being discounted that day? I have my doubts since its so new (is it even technically "out"?).
I really like it although the browser seems to be a tiny bit laggy at times.
I haven't seen anything about this tab getting discounted. I may just go ahead and buy it for the hell of it, Christmas is just around the corner so I'll get more cash back for that.
Have you tried a different browser from the market? I use Boat Browser Mini, and it's simple and fast. Not sure if there's a tablet version of it.
With the Asus Transformer at $250 on black Friday... I would hope this tab would get discounted as well... I "had" my mind made up for a 7 incher, but now I'm not sure. If the Flyer gets doscounted, I'll probably go for that. Going to be a lot of competition this season!

Too new to be discounted, in my opinion. Its not even out yet haha. The only thing the Flyer has on it is the pen, so if that and being cheaper works for you then go for it. The Tab has me sold with it being the first 7" quality honeycomb tablet. That Asus one is shit.

For those wanting a review, I apologize for not doing one. In the meantime, its just like the 10.1 or 8.9, just smaller. The construction and software is just like those devices. The one exception is the inclusion of what's like a phone ear speaker at the "top" of the glass. Makes it look like a huge phone haha. Maybe the 4g one can function as such.
I'm liking it so far, mine didn't cone with an SD card though. Also I don't like how the power button and volume buttons are on the same side.
Also do you have, in your application drawer, an app called "screensaver" in which it plays that thing you see in the store on display devices where it plays a bunch of crap telling you about the device? Because mine does and it's weird.

Have had mine for two days. Coming a variety of tabs (VS Gtab, Asus Transformer, Acer A100, NColor) and must say very nice! Snappy, great build and chock full of potential. Viewing angles could be better but enjoyable. Can't wait for root to rid myself of that dang Screen Capture widget on the launch bar. I'll bet I have 16 screen captures of....my desktop? LauncherPro helps modify acreage on screen which is sweet. Snagged a backup charger on Amazon for $14 and 6' charger cable for $10. Hope to get a nice case "sometime". Looks like the Galaxy Tab 7 screen protectors will fit (only .1 inch difference). All in all, most pleased. Love the 7" form factor. Hope root and CWM isn't far away!
Oh, the agony. I bought mine today for my wife to give me for my birthday in 13 days. How awful is that? I know it is here but I can't have it. I still enjoy my rooted Xoom but really want to play with my Tab 7 Plus!
I don't have mine anymore, lol. I returned it because after about a week of owning it, I realized it spent most of the time sitting on my desk off. I was barely using it.

I have been playing with the Kindle Fire I got for my wife and kids and find I like the 7 inch size, so easy to use and hold. I am right now going back and forth between this and the acer a100.. this one is so much nicer but the 150 bucks more is what gives me pause..

The screen on the Acer is garbage. Horrible at some viewing angles, which is something I read about in reviews of products all the time and dismiss but with that one I understand why it's a big deal. To me it's worth the extra cash but that's just my opinion.

Yeah I have heard that, also heard something about if you hold it upside down it is better though that may have been another tab.
But, I am also a little hesitant on the Samsung because Samsung has been so terrible at timely Android upgrades on their phones. Seem to remember swearing I would never buy another Samsung.. hmm but then again I beleive I said I would not buy another Samsung phone..
I got one too. Ordered from Amazon last week and I'm finding it is going everywhere with me beside my Galaxy SII phone. I pull out my phone a little bit more only because it has 4G and a wrist strap (making it the easiest to carry. My iPad has sat on its charger for a week. I use my Asus Transformer as a netbook these days. I find I just don't like that screen as much.
Battery life seems decent. It holds a charge well overnight. Video usage tends to burn through my battery the most. I get around 6-7 hours of video playback. The unit does get very warm at the bottom when I've used it heavily for over an hour.
I also dropped it by accident today on a hard wood floor. Landed face down smack on the floor (while bouncing off a corner first). Not even a ding on the thing. So much better than my iPad.
Only thing I don't care for is something to do with the OS. The always-on taskbar at the bottom of the screen for Android. I wish it was at the top instead. I always seem to hit a button by mistake.
I got the Tab 7.0 plus on Sat and it's now Thurs. I am loving every minute of it. Got it at BestBuy. I also got a Playbook case for it at Staples which fits it well... LOL! Only thing is the power button is half covered by one of the straps but not tightly so it's not a problem. It never pushes the power button down when I don't apply pressure so overall It's great and I leave the case on all the time. It's the Targus Leather Playbook case/stand. Other then that, all I can say is I highly recommend this tablet. The 7" form factor is perfect and this tablet is fast and reliable. Battery life is decent to good but not as great as I was expecting from the reviews. May have to tweak the settings some more. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I mostly just surf around on it and read articles and stuff. Have tried video via youtube and that works without any problems. Screen is crisp. Evernote app is great. Honeycomb is awesome and touchwiz is not so bad. I heard it slows it down but I haven't noticed. This tablet is very slim and light and very portable. Overall I couldn't be happier! Also have the Acer A500 which is quite bigger and heavier but I love that too. They are completely different categories in my opinion cause of the size difference. The Acer should be getting ICS I read so hopefully this will too but either way I can't complain. Honeycomb 3.2 with touchwiz is fine by me. The micro SD slot will also come in handy when I start loading music, videos and games on it but for now I'm just taking it slow. Also the speakers are nice and loud too. Accelerometer is responsive and soon I will load nook app on it to read ebooks. Will let you all know how that goes. Again, highly recommended!

So close to pulling the trigger on this.. confounded by a refurb of the original 7 inch samsung tab over on one of the woots today at a good price.. 200 bucks extra is a lot of money.. Still...
Of course I have some amazon credits I could use Maybe today is the day I order it.
How to view emails and browser windows full screen in landscape mode?
Got it today and setting it up. Got gmail and Jorte calendar set up and synced.
I have some questions:
1. How do you view emails without the list pane showing up on the left?
2. How do you view web pages full screen in landscape mode?
3. Is there no charging indicator at all on charger, cord, or device except with the screen turned on? If I turn it off and put it on the charger, how do I know when it's charged? Seems like for the high price of this thing, there would be some indication.
Love mine. Rooted it and now able to uninstall or freeze crappy bloatware. Pulse, media hub and other pre loaded social media and news feed rubbish. WiFi version only but i can use Skype for VOIP and video calls... also can tether it to my EVO 4G so i can use google maps/navigation and internet anywhere.
Had it on regular shipping with Amazon, due on the 30th... Had to call them this morning and get them to do next day... Bad case of the 'I can't wait -itis'...
