Default Screen turning off while using phone

Hi All,

I am using an unlocked 7.7 on T-mobile. I am also using a Samsung 7000 blue tooth device. I have turned off the proximity sensor, which closes down the screen if you are using the native phone, and I have also set the display to turn off after 10 minutes in two places. However, when I make a call, as soon as I am finished dialing, the screen dims for a few seconds and then turns off, requiring me to hit the power button on the phone itself to bring back the phone screen. If I don't do this quickly enough, the screen locks, and then I have to drag the lock to open the phone again.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Does anyone have any ideas on what settings to use to make sure that the screen just stays on until I am ready for it to turn off? By the way, the screen also turns off by itself immediately after a call has been terminated. One last thought--I tried to use the setting where it says to only end a call by using the power key, but was informed that will only work when the proximity sensor is set to on. Finally, I tried just turning off any security once the phone is locked, but nothing has worked.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Robert
